Qatar national football team
The Qatar national football team started the preparations to face off Honduras national team at the State Farm Stadium on Friday morning, as part of Group B's 2nd round of matches in the group stage of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup hosted by the US and Canada from June 24 - 16 July.
The Qatari team will embark on key trainings for 15 minutes on Wednesday at State Farm Stadium in front of media based on Concacaf regulations.
Head coach of the Qatari team Carlos Queiroz has been keen to study the Honduras team through videos and comments that were provided by the supporting technical crew, as Qatari team hope to succeed in rectifying the mistakes in the previous match in front of Haiti to restore hopes and maintain luckiness to reach the next round.
For his part, Qatar national team media coordinator Saad Safar Al Kuwari stressed the importance of the tournament that comes within the preparations for the world cup finals and Asian cup that Qatar will host next January.
The team camped in Austria and all team players try to develop themselves and implement the instructions to follow in the footsteps of coach Carlos Queiroz, Al Kuwari said, pointing out that all players can bear responsibility and have tremendous desire to prove themselves during the upcoming games to demonstrate the hopeful level during Honduras match and finally face off Mexico in Group B.
In its Group B opening match on Sunday, Qatar lost 1-2 to Haiti at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
