Noise Limit Set for All Vehicles

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed strict regulations governing vehicle noise, setting a maximum limit of 79 decibels for all cars and motorcycles, including sports and modified vehicles.

Compliance will be measured using approved technical equipment, and vehicle owners are responsible for ensuring their vehicles meet these standards. Authorized dealers are available to assist with adjustments if required.

The Ministry warned that exceeding the noise limit, tampering with exhaust systems, or using sound‑enhancing features constitutes a legal violation and may result in penalties. Officials emphasized that high‑performance vehicles are subject to the same rules, with no exceptions.

These regulations aim to enhance public safety, reduce noise pollution, and preserve community tranquility, reinforcing Qatar’s commitment to a peaceful environment for all residents
