AMAN Hosts Ramadan Awareness and Recreational Events

The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) is organizing awareness-raising and recreational activities targeting women, children and family disintegration victims. appropriate to the holy month of Ramadan.

Also among the targeted audience are beneficiaries of AMAN's internal care department (temporary shelter) to provide them with a safe family environment.

The participants decorated the building in preparation for the holy month and designating a prayer area in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The activities also include religious lectures after Tarawih prayers, encouraging beneficiaries to memorize parts of the Holy Quran, and narrating stories of the prophets to children.

Also among the activities are training programs including cooking courses for children, recreational competitions, and preparations for the Garangao celebrations.

AMAN Executive Director Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Al-Thani affirmed the importance of these activities in fostering a safe environment for beneficiaries and their role in improving their psychological, physical, and mental health, as well as enhancing their self-confidence through group interaction and participation. He emphasized the need to reintegrate the target groups with their families and society to achieve family stability.

Meanwhile, AMAN's Communications and Media Office Director Hanan Al Ali said that the activities will include an awareness segment, held two days a week, featuring educational and entertainment competitions for children and visitors to the Hayat Plaza complex. The aim is to reach the largest possible segment of women, children, and girls and introduce them to the center's social protection services.

She added that AMAN will launch a Ramadan competition on its social media platforms.

Furthermore, AMAN will host awareness booths as part of the celebration of International Women's Day 2025. They will be held at the Qatar Foundation-linked Al Mujadilah Center and the Minaretein Center at the Education City Mosque to highlight the center's role and services provided to target groups.

Established in 2013 under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Development and Family's Qatar Foundation for Social Work, AMAN aims to protect and rehabilitate women and children who are victims of violence and family disintegration, and to reintegrate them into society by providing protection, rehabilitation, and awareness services.
