Benjamin Bourigueux
Al Duhail SC announced Friday that it has officially signed French midfielder Benjamin Bourigueux from Rennes.
The club stated in a statement on its official website that the 30-year-old player has signed a contract to join the team during the current summer transfer period, expressing great confidence in his contribution during the upcoming events.
The player previously represented the French U-20 national team, where he began his professional career in 2012 with Lens "B" team before joining Lens first team in 2013.
Bourigueux joined Rennes in 2017 from Lens, and the new Al Duhail player contributed to Rennes winning the French Cup against Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.
Al Duhail seek to regain the Qatari League title after losing it last season following Al Sadd's coronation.
Al Duhail, led by French coach Christophe Galtier, lead the Ooredoo Stars League standings with 9 points, two points ahead of their closest competitor, Al Ahli.
