Attorney-General Refers Two Interior Ministry Officers to Competent Criminal Court

HE Attorney-General Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi ordered the referral of two Ministry of Interior (MoI) officers to the competent criminal court to punish them for the crimes charged against them.

The Public Prosecution completed investigations with the two MoI officers, who had been previously arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution in 2022, the Public Prosecution said in a statement.

The Public Prosecution's probe concluded that the accused had committed crimes related to public office, including embezzlement of public money, forgery of official documents, intentional damage to public money, bribery, laundering of the money obtained from these crimes, and abuse of power, the statement read.
