Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has received a new investment endowment valued at QR100,000 from a Qatari benefactor.
The proceeds from this endowment will support the Mosque Services Endowment Fund, managed by the General Directorate of Endowments in accordance with an officially documented deed that safeguards the donor’s conditions and ensures proper investment of the returns.
This contribution adds to the country’s growing portfolio of developmental endowments and reflects increasing public awareness of the importance of supporting mosque-related initiatives. These projects are overseen by specialized departments to guarantee transparency, sustainability, and effective use of funds.
According to the Directorate, the donor has previously contributed to endowment projects, demonstrating his continued commitment to charitable giving and pursuit of lasting rewards.
Ghanem Abdul Latif Al-Rumaihi, Head of Marketing at the Section of Endowment Funds, highlighted that the Mosque Services Endowment Fund is guided by Quranic principles, which inspire many citizens to dedicate endowments for mosque support.
He added that the fund covers all mosque-related needs, including construction, maintenance, and care, as well as training programs that enhance the skills of imams and strengthen the mosque’s social and spiritual role.
Al-Rumaihi noted that the fund’s mission extends beyond infrastructure to supporting all initiatives that help revive the mosque’s message within the community. The General Directorate of Endowments offers various endowment options, enabling donors to choose causes that align with their wishes.
