Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Meets with Korean Defense Minister
Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, H.E. Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, met with Korean Minister of National Defense, H.E. Shin Won Sik, during his current visit to the Republic of Korea.
The discussions focused on mutual interests, bilateral military cooperation, and strategies for enhancing and developing these relations. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Khalid bin Ebrahim Al Hamar, and senior officers from the Qatar Armed Forces also attended the meeting.
Additionally, H.E. Lieutenant General Al Nabit met with Korean Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, H.E. Admiral Kim Myung-soo, during his visit. Similar topics were addressed, emphasizing mutual interests and ways to strengthen military cooperation.
As part of his itinerary, H.E. Lieutenant General Al Nabit engaged with CEOs of Korean defense industry companies, discussing various shared interests.
Moreover, during his visit to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Lieutenant General Al Nabit toured the factory of the fifth-generation fighter (KF-21) and visited a medium-range surface-to-air missile unit (M-SAM). He was accompanied by senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces during these visits. Â
