The Official Spokesperson at the Government Contact Center, Mr. Mohammad Nuwaim Al Hajri, spoke today on the most common features between the Law of Social Insurance and the Millatry Law, mentioning the features as follows:

1) The minimum pension amount specified in the two laws was 15,000 Qatari Riyals.

2) According to the two laws, the housing allowance was added to the subscription account based on a maximum of 6,000 Qatari Riyals.

3) There were provisions in both laws that applied to retirees or their beneficiaries, such as those related to offering loans to pensioners and periodic increments, in accordance with procedures and other regulations defined in each of the cited laws.

4) According to the two laws, if the servicer period passes 30 years, the pensioner or his beneficiaries, depending on the circumstances, are entitled to a reward based for that additional period.

5) When a pensioner returns to work in the private sector, it is possible to combine the pension salary and the work salary, under the condition that they do not apply for another period. 

6) A retiring woman does not get her pension salary reduced in the case of caring for a special-needs person under the condition that she has actually served 20 years.

7) The two laws authorized installment payments of all amounts owed to the fund, so that the insured could pay any obligations owed to the fund in monthly installments easily.

8) An insured who does not meet the pension salary conditions is given one payment and must return his subscriptions if it's less than a year.

9) The two laws provide for the beneficiaries to inherit the pension salary when the insured or pensioner dies.

10) The widow’s inheritance of the pensioner's salary is increased to 100% in the event there are no other beneficiaries.
