Washington, July 19 - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today in Washington with HE US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry.
During the meeting, they reviewed efforts to reduce the repercussions of climate change and the State of Qatar's measures to address climate change issues.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of enhancing Qatari-US cooperation in the field of climate affairs.
The US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate praised Qatar's commitment to addressing climate change issues, and hailed Qatar's efforts to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which conforms to the highest standards of sustainability. (QNA)
