MCIT Pavilion
HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai inaugurated the Ministrys pavilion at the Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition, accompanied by a number of Their Excellencies and senior state officials.
The Ministrys participation in the International Horticultural Exhibition is through its programs such as "Smart Qatar" and "Studio 5", in addition to holding the 3rd edition of the Smart City Expo 2023 next November.
Inspired by the beauty of the desert and sustainable technology, the pavilion reflects a unique blend of innovative and traditional elements, where advanced technology converges with the essence of Qatari culture.
Within an area of 170 square meters, the pavilion offers its visitors an in-depth self-exploration experience that tells the story of smart Qatar and invites them to explore Arab culture in its richest ways.
The pavilion was designed in the form of a tower consisting of ten levels, and was built from 75 individual pieces printed with 3D technology to be an ideal example of fruitful cooperation between different talents and experiences and a living example of turning ambitious visions into tangible reality.
The pavilion also provides periodic events, ensuring renewed interactive activities throughout the exhibition period.
Out of concern for the younger generation, the Ministrys participation extends to include "Studio 5", which was established with the aim of educating students, children and youth, about the digital field, as well as enhancing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity and innovation.
Free workshops, seminars and hackathons will also be available daily at the Innovation Center within the International District throughout the six months of the exhibition.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is also preparing to present the 3rd edition of the Smart City Expo 2023 in Doha, scheduled to be held from November 29 to 30, in cooperation with Fira Barcelona, the organizer of the Smart Cities Exhibition World Conference.
The Smart City Expo in Doha will continue to promote international discussions on urban development and focus on finding solutions to today's challenges. Topics covered also include green urban environments, digital governance, and knowledge cities, providing a platform for sharing projects, policies, initiatives, and interest in exploiting opportunities and overcoming challenges facing cities in the digital age.
