Expo Doha, PEO Sign Agreement to Reinforce Exhibition's Success
The National Committee to host the Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition and the Private Engineering Office (PEO) signed a strategic sponsorship agreement, with the attendance of HE Minister of Municipality and Chairperson of the National Committee to host Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.
With this agreement, PEO joins as a strategic partner for the most prominent events that is being held for the first time in the Middle East, which contributes to the consolidation of Qatar's position as a vital regional and international center for major events.
The office's accession is also considered a contribution to bringing about a radical change and an added value in Al Bidda Park (where the exhibition is held) and all accompanying events, as well as developing the park, enriching its nature and contributing to the success of this major international event.
On this occasion, Secretary-General of the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha Eng. Mohammed Ali Al Khouri said that all ministries within the country have joined as a supporter of the Expo, adding that - under this agreement, PEO provides technical services to all areas of the events, starting from allocating the land, which is a strategic location with a picturesque nature in the State of Qatar, and ending with providing security, garden care and other services.
There are more than 70 countries whose participation has been confirmed so far, while the rest of the countries are yet to be confirmed, Al Khouri said, noting that many pavilions have begun to cultivate the places designated for them, and some countries have already completed their procedures and will soon start preparing their pavilions inside the exhibition.
He indicated that that the ongoing work for Expo 2023 Doha is up to date and is to be completed before the scheduled opening date.
For his part, Managing Director of PEO Nasser Rashid Al Nuaimi explained that the agreement extends throughout the months of the exhibition, during which the office provides services, as well as the site and its infrastructure, including buildings and parking lots.
Al Nuaimi pointed out that four parking lots have been provided, ranging from two to three floors underground, to accommodate more than 1,500 vehicles, in addition to the external parking lots that can be used.
Managing Director of PEO affirmed the Private Engineering Office's readiness to provide other sites to accommodate visitors and accompanying events in cooperation with the competent authorities.
