GCC Convenes Emergency Ministerial Meeting in Doha Following Iranian Missile Attack on Qatar

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold the 49th Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council today, Tuesday, in Doha, to address the escalating situation following the recent Iranian missile attack on the State of Qatar.

Announcing the meeting, HE Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, confirmed that the urgent session will be chaired by HE Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait and current President of the Ministerial Council.

Foreign Ministers from all GCC member states are expected to attend the high-level discussions, which aim to coordinate a collective response to the security threat.

In his statement, HE Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar, emphasizing that Qatar’s security and stability are inseparable from the collective security of the Gulf region.

This emergency meeting comes amid rising tensions and reinforces the GCC’s commitment to regional unity and defense.
