The activities and events of the "Student World Cup 2022", which is organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, have achieved great success and remarkable interaction by students, their parents and the concerned authorities.

The Student World Cup 2022 aimed at promoting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, enhancing the national identity of students and making them an important part in the tournament.

The activities included four events: "What if I were an international arbiter 2022?" for the secondary stage, hosted by Ahmad Bin Mohammed Al-Thani Independent School For Boys in cooperation with the Referees Committee of the Qatar Football Association; the "Sports Shows" competition for the primary and model stages in cooperation with the Qatar Womens Sports Committee; in addition to the "World Cup Small Commentator 2022" competition in cooperation with Abdullah Bin Al Zubair Boys School. The activities will conclude with the "World Cup Day" next Tuesday at Al Yarmouk Independent Preparatory School for Boys.

Director of Al Yarmouk Preparatory School for Boys, Ibrahim Al Aidan, stressed in a press conference held today on this occasion, the importance of the "Student World Cup 2022" activities, and their contribution to developing students' awareness and instilling a love of sports in them; noting that the "World Cup Day" which the school will organize at the end of these events will witness many activities, including the participation of 32 student teams as many teams participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, in addition to an exhibition of plastic arts for the World Cup.

For his part, the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Football Association, Khaled Al Kuwari, said that the partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in organizing the "Student World Cup 2022" aimed to support interdependence and spread sports culture, including the culture of cheering among students, as they are an important and essential segment in the community and the men of the future; hoping to see players from them join the national teams in the future.

For his part, the General Supervisor of the "You are important" initiative at the Ministry of Interior, Captain Saeed Juma Al Hitmi, praised these events, pointing out that the ministry, through this initiative, is working to educate students about the importance of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Ahmed Youssef Bou Alfin, a physical education instructor in the Department of Educational Guidance at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, outlined the activities of the Student World Cup 2022 and the success and interaction it achieved among all stakeholders.

One of the goals of the "Student World Cup 2022" is also to emphasize the importance of encouraging the Qatar national football team during the tournament, and to raise awareness and culture of students about the importance of sports benefits organized by the state, in addition to building the World Cup personality, and the values and pride it holds for the Qatari identity for school students, and making them citizens actors, as well as the ability to deal and interact with other societies, enhance the national and cultural identity by involving students in the World Cup events through various programs and events in football, and activate the community partnership between schools and the external community, including sports and social bodies, parents, professional players and others.

It is also noted that the "You Are Important" initiative is implemented by the Stadium Security Department of the Facilities and Entities Security Department at the Ministry of Interior, and aims to enhance community awareness of stadium security, and consolidate the security partnership between society and security services in order to provide a role model in organizing major sporting events, leading to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
