Hamad International Airport (HIA) has officially opened Concourse E as part of its ongoing terminal expansion, enhancing passenger experience, accessibility, and sustainability.
Covering 51,000 square meters, the expansion introduces eight new contact gates, boosting overall airport capacity by 20%. Designed to streamline boarding and minimize reliance on remote gates and shuttle buses, the new concourse aims to provide a more seamless and efficient journey for travelers.
Key Features of Concourse E:
HIA’s Chief Operating Officer, Hamad Ali Al Khater, emphasized that this expansion reflects the airport’s commitment to efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability. He also announced that further developments, including the expansion of Concourse D, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
This milestone reinforces HIA’s status as a global aviation hub, improving connectivity and elevating the passenger journey.
