In a landmark initiative poised to shape the future of diagnostic imaging in Qatar and the wider region, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will host the inaugural Qatar Radiology Congress (QRC 2025) from October 16 to 18 at Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl, Doha.

The event will bring together leading radiologists, clinicians, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest innovations in imaging and their impact on modern clinical care.

As Qatar’s premier healthcare provider, HMC continues to lead in patient safety and clinical excellence, upholding high standards in radiation safety and pioneering advancements in medical imaging.

In a joint welcome message, Dr. Amal Al Obaidli, Chairperson of HMC’s Clinical Imaging Department and Chairperson of QRC 2025, and Dr. Adham Darweesh, Head of Body Imaging and Co-Chair of the congress, emphasized the event’s mission to promote knowledge exchange, foster innovation, and improve patient outcomes.

“Our goal is to inspire new ideas, strengthen professional networks, and highlight the vital role of imaging in today’s medical practice,” they stated. “This congress is both a celebration of progress and a commitment to the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

The three-day event will feature a dynamic scientific program, including keynote speeches from globally recognized experts, interactive workshops for hands-on learning, and mini multidisciplinary team (MDT) panels discussing real clinical cases.

Other highlights include poster presentations and abstract sessions showcasing current research and clinical innovations, with topics covering subspecialties such as cardiothoracic, abdominal, musculoskeletal, pediatric, women’s and emergency imaging, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

QRC 2025 also aims to facilitate meaningful networking opportunities, enabling professionals to connect and collaborate across disciplines. The congress is expected to attract physicians, fellows, residents, radiologic technologists, nurses, and medical students, all committed to advancing excellence in imaging.

Dr. Darweesh encouraged all participants to actively engage, saying, “We hope attendees make the most of this unique platform, absorbing knowledge, exchanging insights, and contributing to the evolution of radiology in Qatar and beyond.”

With its focus on innovation, education, and collaboration, QRC 2025 is set to become a cornerstone event in the region’s medical calendar.
