Ibn Al Aghlab street
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the completion of main upgrading works of Ibn Al Aghlab and Al Hada Streets and opening them to traffic, as part of the development works in Central Doha within the Construction of Foul Sewer Network for Inner Doha Project.
The development of the two streets will contribute to improving the traffic movement and reducing congestion in the area. The streets will also connect between two main roads which are the C-Ring Road and the Airport Road, which will serve several commercial establishments and facilities in the area.
The completed works included the development of 730 metres of roads, installation of 39 new lighting poles and provision of around 150 car parks and pedestrian sidewalks. About 2 km of sewage and storm water drainage network lines were constructed, in addition to the development of TSE lines and installation of house connections.
Works are currently being completed on 8 Streets in Umm Ghuwailina area. The remaining infrastructure works includes around 500 metres of TSE and Surface Water network, 36 Street light poles and around 4,000 square metre of road works.
