Today, all workers in Qatar can change jobs before the end of their contract without having to first obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employers. 

Under Law No. 19 of 2020, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has announced the abolishment of  “kafala” (sponsorship) system, which enables migrant workers to switch jobs in Doha Qatar without NOC.
