Kosovo President Praises Qatar Positions Supportive to Kosovo

HE President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has praised the State of Qatar's supportive stances for her country, and its permanent support for the people of Kosovo in various circumstances, stressing the keenness to develop relations between the two countries at various levels.

During a lecture she gave today at the headquarters of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, HE the President of Kosovo said: "The State of Qatar was close to us in various circumstances, and the time has come to strengthen relations between the two countries and build cooperation that serves the two peoples," expressing her overwhelming happiness at her first visit to the country.

In her lecture entitled "Building Sustainable Peace and Security in Southeast Europe and Abroad", HE President Vjosa reviewed the state-building efforts after the war in the region in the late 1990s, efforts to establish peace and stability and enhance freedoms in the country, and the surrounding risks and challenges.

She also touched on the Russian military escalation in Ukraine, and warned of the dangers of the war spreading to the Balkans, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in stopping the war and the threats and dangers in the region.

The lecture was followed by rich discussions in which researchers from a number of research institutions and universities in the country, as well as media professionals and diplomats, participated.
