Local Dates
The Local Dates Festival kicked off yesterday at Souq Waqif (Al Ahmad square) and will continue until April 1, 2022.Â
The festival is open from 9 am to 9 pm and Friday from 3 pm until 10 pm.
The festival displays all Qatari date varieties, as more than 70 farms and companies specialized in the production of dates are participating in it and are offering lower prices than the market.
The event is being organized by the Souq Waqif Administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality.
The aim of the exhibition is to provide dates to residents before the month of Ramadan, as well as to introduce local products, and promote cultural and heritage awareness about dates.
