The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported that there are 131 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 164 individuals have so far recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 232,269.
Among the new 131 Covid-19 cases, 102 have been infected from the community and 29 contacted the virus while traveling from abroad.
MOPH reported no deaths in the country today, as the total death toll due to the deadly virus stays at 604.Â
18,523 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours. The overall number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 4,605,920.
79.1% of the total population received full vaccination with two doses of the vaccine.

As the cases of Covid-19 increases in the State of Qatar, it is significant for all individual to contribute their effective part in curbing the virus by adhering to the mandatory preventive measures imposed by the government:
•   Maintaining safe and social distances in the public arenas.
•   Avoid close contact in crowded or confined areas where people congregate.
•   Wearing a face mask at all times.
•   Washing and sanitising hands at regular intervals.
Any individual suffering from COVID-19 symptoms must immediately contact the helpline number 16000. This is vital as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
