Minister of Commerce and Industry Meets Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs
Doha, September 05 (QNA) - HE Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met on Sunday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Luigi Di Maio and the accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of joint cooperation in the fields of commerce, investment and industry, and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to discussing trade policies between the two countries and the efforts made by the two sides in confronting the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
During the meeting, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance also highlighted the economic policies established by the State of Qatar to support the private sector, including incentives, legislation and promising opportunities that have been made available to encourage investors, businessmen and companies to invest in the State of Qatar.
The volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to approximately USD 2.16 billion in 2020, making the Italian Republic the eighth largest trading partner of the State of Qatar. (QNA)
