Ministry of Education Unveils Student World Cup 2022 Events And Activities

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has started organizing numerous school activities under the title:" Student World Cup 2022" that intends to promote the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, bolster the national identity of students and making them a vital part of the tournament.

In addition, there are many schools that are implementing these activities, such as the activity related to the Little World Cup commentator, world cup sports exhibitions, world cup day and others.

In a related context, Ahmad Bin Mohammed Al-Thani Independent School For Boys organized a two-day competition titled: " What if you're an international referee" in collaboration with Physical Education (PE) Department at MOEHE and QFA Referee Committee within the events of the activities of the World Cup for students supervised by PE Department at MOEHE.

The contest was intended to promote FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, bolster the national identity of students and make them part of the tournament, spotlight their sporting talents and work to further upgrade them, disseminate the spirit of competition among them in the refereeing area, as well as capitalizing on them in the relevant internal and external activities.

The competition is a good idea from the referee project which is annually held in schools, and requires that students shall have the intention or the talent in the refereeing process through verbal or practical testing prior to the initiation of any edition.

Member of the Referees Committee of the Qatar Football Association and the former international referee Abdullah Al Balushi said that such editions and training events in schools would explore the novel students' talents who have the future refereeing skill, and encourage them to proceed with this area to be international referees later on in the future global football tournaments.

For his part, coordinator of physical education at Ahmed Bin Mohmmad Boys School Akmal Farouk clarified that 60 students from ten public schools have participated in the competition, reviewing its phases and the associated events over the course of the two-day organization activities.
