The Ministry of Labour took part in the 2025 Arab Forum for Sustainable Development, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in collaboration with the League of Arab States. The forum was held from Apr. 14 to 16 at the United Nations House in Beirut, Lebanon.
HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani led the Ministry’s delegation. She addressed the high-level opening session dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 8 – "Decent Work and Economic Growth" – focusing on national policy solutions aimed at providing decent employment opportunities for all within the Arab region.
The forum also featured ministerial-level discussions on the implementation of the "Pact for the Future," adopted in July 2024. These deliberations involved senior representatives from ministries, planning authorities, and institutions responsible for overseeing the progress of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
