Two persons have been arrested following a viral video that showed Qatari currency being used in a demeaning manner.
In the video that is being circulated on social media, one of them is seen using Qatari rials as props in a series of activities, such as wiping the nose and polishing the shoes.
Described as provocative by many on Twitter and other platforms, the video is accompanied by the caption “take the risk”, drawing outrage, criticism and calls for action.
The Ministry of Interior on Sunday said both the person in the video and the one who shot it were arrested.
