MoEHE to organize Virtual Education Forum 2021
The forum will focus on achieving the fourth goal of the 17 sustainable development goals as mentioned in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development namely, “Ensuring quality, equitable and inclusive education for all.”
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that it will organize a Virtual Education Forum 2021 next April under the theme - "Visions and aspirations beyond challenges" with the aim of presenting ideas, discussing practices and exchanging experiences among those interested in educational issues, and exploring the future of education after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The forum will focus on achieving the fourth goal of the 17 sustainable development goals mentioned in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development namely, “Ensuring quality, equitable and inclusive education for all and promoting lifelong learning opportunities,” which fulfills Qatar's National Vision 2030, aimed at transforming Qatar into an advanced nation.
Furthermore, the State of Qatar sincerely strives to achieve sustainable development and to secure the continuation of decent living for its people, generation after generation.
In discussion sessions and workshops, the forum will address a number of topics and practices that will be presented by professors from different universities and participating bodies with a focus on the role of technology and developments in post-Covid-19 education era.
These will be achieved through the following means:
- Integrating education for sustainable development in the prescribed curriculum.
- Aligning educational outcomes, keeping in mind, requirements of the labor market.
- Presenting new visions of early childhood learning and education.
- Considering the role of educational supervision and leadership in promoting sustainable professional development for teachers.
- And finally, consolidating community partnerships to achieve education for overall sustainable development.
