National Service Academy and tobacco control center
The National Service Academy and the Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Tobacco Control Center signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of anti-smoking, research and training in this field.
The memorandum was signed by Commander of the Medical Services at the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General Dr. Asaad Khalil Al Asaad and Director of the Tobacco Control Center Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al Mulla in presence of HE President of the National Service Academy Staff Major General Saeed bin Hamad Al Nuaimi and Assistant Minister of Public Health for Health Affairs Dr. Saleh Ali Al Marri.
The MoU aims at cooperation between the academy and the center with regard to providing the technical support required to combat smoking at the National Service Academy, in addition to areas of common interest, such as cooperation in the field of research and training of medical staff, and participation in awareness activities.
On the sidelines of signing the memorandum, an anti-smoking clinic was inaugurated in Miqdam camp by the President of the National Service Academy, Director of Tobacco Control Center and Commander of Medical Services.
