The Search and Follow-up Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has apprehended nine expatriate suspects of Arab and Asian nationalities for their involvement in fraudulent activities.
In a tweet, the Ministry of Interior said these individuals deceived citizens by making false promises of profits through the creation of fake companies with the intention of engaging in visa trading.

The MoI said with the approval of the Public Prosecution, several suspects were apprehended after their illicit activities were monitored on social media platforms and through specific Document Clearance Offices.
Subsequent searches conducted at their residences and workplaces led to the discovery of significant amounts of money, totaling over QR190,000.
Additionally, counterfeit company records, rental contracts, Qatari citizens ID cards, prepaid bank cards, and bank cards belonging to the expatriate workers to whom the visas were sold were seized. The suspects are being referred to the Public Prosecution to initiate the necessary legal proceedings in this matter.
