Dates
An air-conditioned tent will be erected at Souq Waqif's Eastern Square to host the local dates exhibition starting July 23. Organizers have extended an invitation to attend this popular event, open daily from 4pm to 9pm until August 3, 2024.
The exhibition will feature a wide array of date varieties such as Halawy, Mazafati, Medjool, and more, presented by both local and international farms. In addition to the dates themselves, visitors can explore and purchase an assortment of date-derived products including pastries, cakes, jams, juices, smoothies, pickles, and even ice cream.
During the previous edition, over 100 date farms participated, resulting in sales exceeding QR2 million worth of dates. The Dates Festival in Doha not only celebrates the cultural and economic significance of dates in Qatar but also offers visitors an opportunity to discover the diverse range of date varieties cultivated in the region.
