From October, only people who are vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to enter the mosques to perform Friday prayers, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs MERA said.
"The conditions for opening the mosque for the Friday prayer rituals:
1- Forming a team of volunteers to verify that the two doses of the vaccine have been taken before entering the mosque.
 2- Not allowing entry to those who are not vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine.
 3- Closing the mosque and its annexes after fulfilling 50 per cent of its capacity.
 4- Commitment to social distancing, bringing a special rug and wearing a mask.
 5- Direct communication with the nearest administrative body in the event of violations.
 6- Undertaking to abide by the requirements and procedures," MERA said in a statement.
The Ministry announced on Sunday the reopening of mosques for Friday prayers, starting from September 24, 2021. The application for the permit can be submitted electronically on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
