Ooredoo Cup 2021-22
In a thrilling contest of round 1 (Group B), Qatar SC managed to held their nerves and defeat Al Khor by 2-1 during the opening day of Ooredoo Cup 2021-22 season, which was held yesterday.
The match that took place at the Al Wakrah Stadium witnessed some of the finest goals by Qatar SC as Salmin Al Rumaihi scored the first goal in the 16th minute and Sebastian Soria scored a second goal for the club in the 58th minute. The only goal scored by Al Khor came off from Syed Brahimi during the 88th minute of the game.
Prior to this match, the defending champions Al Sailiya was levelled by Al Arabi as the rivals finished their match with 2-2.Â
The crucial two goals for Al Arabi during the match held at Al Khor stadium was scored by Mehrdad Mohammadi in the 38th minute and 53rd minute via penalty.Â
The first goal for Al Sailiya was scored by Valentine Adama Diamande via penalty in the 45 + 3 minutes and the Fahad Khalfan managed to pull of a second goal in the 63rd minute to equalize the game.
The Ooredoo Cup 2021-22 inaugural match between Al Sailiya and Al Arabi witnessed three penalties of which two resulted in the nets.Â
