Over 90 complaints of domestic workers against employers settled in August

According to the Ministry of Labour, almost 90 complaints made by domestic employees against their employers were resolved last month.

In its monthly statistics for August, the Ministry noted that it had received 117 complaints, of which 96 had been resolved, 11 were still pending, and 10 had been forwarded to the appropriate committees.

Regarding the applications for new recruitment, the Ministry reported that a total of 9,945 applications were received, of which 5,489 were approved, and 4,456 were rejected.

In total, there were 1,756 applications for work permits, 673 of which were brand-new.

In the meantime, it was reported that the Ministry discovered one violation during 19 inspection visits to the recruitment agencies.

Additionally, the Ministry determined that 120 establishments were in violation of the Ministerial Decree No. 17 of 2021, which was published on May 26, 2021.
