Smuggle drugs
Inspectors at Hamad International Airport (HIA) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs into Qatar.
In a statement shared on social media, Customs stated that the banned substances were found inside the passenger's stomach. The passenger was inspected upon suspicion by the authorities at the airport.
Upon inspection using special devices, the authorities found drugs inside the passenger’s stomach. It also shared a photo of the banned substance on Twitter.
The customs authority has recently conducted several successive seizures and the customs inspectors undergo intensifying theoretical and field training in the latest technology and methods.
