HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, attended this morning, at Sheraton Doha Hotel, a ceremony honoring the cities of Qatar as "Healthy Cities", on the occasion of receiving all the municipalities of the State of Qatar the title of 'Healthy Cities', and both Qatar University and Qatar Education City receiving the title of "Health Education City" from the World Health Organization, which is one of the results of the National Health Strategy projects 2018-2022.
The ceremony included a screening of a documentary film on health cities for representatives of the Ministries of Public Health and the Ministry of Municipality, the World Health Organization, Qatar University, and Generation Amazing, and concluded with the delivery of accreditation certificates to the recently approved municipalities and Qatar University.
After the ceremony, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior planted the tree of Qatar's first healthy cities, as part of the initiative to plant a million trees.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers and senior state officials.
