Ministry of Public Health Temporarily Shuts Down Dental Unit and Suspends Licenses Over Regulatory Breaches
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the temporary closure of a dental unit operating within a private healthcare facility, along with the suspension of professional licenses for several healthcare practitioners found to be working beyond their authorized scope of practice.

The Ministry stated that these violations contravene the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1983, which governs the practice of medicine, dentistry, and surgery, as well as the regulations and guidelines related to professional licensing. Legal proceedings are currently underway against both the facility and the involved practitioners.

The action is part of ongoing oversight efforts by the Department of Health Professions, aimed at ensuring full compliance with healthcare laws and professional standards.

MoPH emphasized its commitment to safeguarding patient safety and upholding the quality of healthcare services, urging all medical facilities to strictly adhere to the country's regulatory framework.
