Ramadan Iftar meals
Under the âStand Togetherâ social welfare program for expatriate workers, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and KPMG Qatar co-implemented a charitable Ramadan Iftar initiative, distributing fresh Iftar meals to 160 workers at their housing facility in the Industrial Area.
This initiative is inspired by the company's spirit of corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as their willingness to cooperate with QRCS in its top-priority strategy of supporting low-income groups.
Muna Fadel Al-Sulaiti, Executive Director of Volunteering and Local Development Division at QRCS, said the focus on laborers under the Ramadan Iftar projects in Qatar was in appreciation and gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the construction and development in Qatar.
âThey are the ones who make infrastructure a reality and provide various public services,â she added. âWe always seek a relation of solidarity and interdependence among segments of society, helping to strengthen different forms of social integration, especially in the holy month of Ramadanâ.
âStand Togetherâ is a social development initiative to ensure the welfare of expatriate workers, through diverse forms of assistance, such as health education, food aid, and hygiene kits. The ultimate goal is to improve their living conditions and achieve social integration.
