QU Extends Online Application Deadline for New Students

Qatar University (QU) has announced extending the online application deadline until July 31 for new students who wish to enroll for the fall 2025 semester, noting that the required documents must be submitted in hard copy during the extension period.

The university pointed out that the extension of the deadline comes within the framework of the Admission Department's keenness to provide the opportunity for high school graduates, granting them more time to apply and complete admission procedures.

QU said that colleges available for admission for the fall 2025 semester include the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Business and Economics, College of Law, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Nursing, and College of Sports Sciences, provided that students have a minimum high school diploma score of 70 percent. The College of Medicine and College of Dental Medicine require a minimum score of 85 percent, while the College of Pharmacy requires a minimum score of 80 percent.

The Admission Department emphasized that admission to QU is based on the principle of competition among applicants, highlighting that meeting the minimum requirements for high school education does not guarantee admission based on a student's first preference. Students are admitted based on the capacity of each college individually, the department continued, noting that secondary school education track is also taken into consideration when applying to the university.

Admission decisions are scheduled to be announced on Aug. 4 through the online admissions portal.
