The state of Qatar has affirmed its solidarity with Pakistan, government and people, in countering the devastation caused by floods and torrential rains that have recently hit the country, pointing out that, under the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD) provided the first batch of emergency relief aids for those affected by the ongoing floods in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

This came during the remarks delivered by HE Permanent Representative of State of Qatar to the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva Hind Bint Abdul Rahman Al Muftah during her participation in the joint launch of 2022 Pakistan Floods Response Plan organized by the government of Pakistan and United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Geneva.
