Qatar has bagged yet another Guinness World Records certificate after creating the word "QATAR" out of 14,183 recycled plastic water bottles on Saturday, October 15 at the Museum of Islamic Art Park.
Organized by The Seashore Recycling and Sustainability Center, a member of Seashore Group, the event was a part of Qatar 2022 Sustainability Week.
The previous record held by Al-Ettifaq Club of Saudi Arabia, was set in June 2021 for their word “Salam”, translating to “Peace”.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Pravin Patel expressed his admiration for the level of organization displayed at beating the previous record, as the group had the task of not only beating the high number set previously but also to adhere to all the strict guidelines while doing so such as bottle type, spacing etc.
