The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has officially introduced an updated version of the One Riyal banknote, part of the country’s Fifth Series currency.
The revised note features modifications including an updated official state emblem, refreshed Arabic numerals, and a new issue date. According to QCB, these changes are in accordance with current national legislation.
QCB confirmed that the previous version of the One Riyal note will remain legal tender and continue to circulate alongside the new edition. Similar updates will also be implemented across other currency denominations in due course.
