Qatar Charity's "Biggest Winner" Concluded
Qatar Charity announced that 11 students have qualified for the first places in the health awareness program "the Biggest Winner", which was dedicated to primary school students.
This came during the closing ceremony of the program, which was held by Qatar Charity, in the presence of partners, students and teachers of schools participating in the program, affiliated to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
11 students from different schools achieved the first places, due to the changes and commitment they made in the program, according to the judging criteria, as Rashid Saleh Al Marri from Al Khor Model School for boys came in first place, Dana Khalaf Al Ruwaili from Al Obaib Elementary School for girls came in second place, while Reem Ali Al Buainain from Al Bayan Elementary School for girls came in third place.
The "Biggest Winner" program was able to educate 200 students in 9 schools, who suffer from overweight and chronic diseases, about the importance of following a healthy diet, and staying away from fast and harmful food.
During the ceremony, the program's partners, the winning students, and a number of teachers and coordinators were honored, where Director of Programs and Community Development Department at Qatar Charity Abdul Rahman Al Hajri handed over certificates of appreciation and shields to the honorees, in recognition of their efforts in the program.
In this context, Al Hajri said that Qatar Charity is proud with its partners to conclude this edition of the "Biggest Winner" program, given the awareness and behavioral effects in the health and food fields that the program has had in the lives of the target group, expressing his hope that the program will continue in the coming years, and that it will expand more widely horizontally and vertically, to reach a larger segment of schools and students.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation for all the efforts made to make this program a success, reaching its last stop safely and successfully, and especially mentioned the Qatar Charity team and partners; the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Al Naseem Center for healthcare, the Qatar Women's Sport Committee, and the Sport. Kha team.
For her part, Chairperson of the Qatar Women's Sports Committee Lulwa al Marri said that the "Biggest Winner" program is of particular importance and reflects the interest of the State of Qatar in raising awareness of the importance of sport and its role in the lives of members of the Qatari society and residents on its territory, expressing her happiness at strengthening the partnership with Qatar Charity and various government and private entities, in order to achieve this noble goal, within the framework of national duty and social responsibility.
Founder of the Sport. Kha team Khalifa Al Kubaisi underscored importance of this program, which targeted the important category of children, pointing out that the participation was very positive and stimulating with Qatar Charity, which provides wonderful and innovative ideas, the benefit of which is reflected on all groups.
For his part, General Manager of Al Naseem Health group Dr. Mounir Ali expressed his happiness to participate in this program, indicating that their role lies in providing medical advice on the basics of nutrition and its impact on health, stressing their continuation in the program during the new year.
In the same context, the participating students expressed their great happiness with their participation in the "Biggest Winner" program, pointing out that they benefited from this program, which enabled them to exercise, and learn the importance of following a healthy and useful diet, expressing their thanks to Qatar Charity for its distinctive programs.
