Qatar Confirms Stable Radiation Levels Across Land and Sea

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) has confirmed that radiation levels across Qatar’s airspace and territorial waters remain within safe and normal limits.

In an official statement released on 15 June 2025, the MECC assured the public that radiation is being monitored 24/7 through a nationwide network of advanced land and marine detection systems. According to the ministry, current data reflects consistent and stable environmental conditions, with no signs of abnormal radiation activity.

The announcement follows the launch of a new national radiation monitoring network, designed to strengthen Qatar’s capabilities in environmental safety and early detection. This upgraded system covers all regions of the country and operates continuously to ensure any radiation anomalies are detected and addressed immediately.

The MECC emphasized that the initiative supports both national safety and international standards in radiation and nuclear protection—positioning Qatar as a regional leader in proactive environmental monitoring and public health safeguards.

This development underscores the country's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and public safety, in alignment with global best practices.
