The newest edition of #QatarCreates - a dynamic national movement to celebrate and promote Qatar's diverse cultural scene while launching the creative economy in the country - will take place in Doha from March 25 to 31.
Exchanges, debates, and collaborations will take place within the fields of art, architecture, fashion, design, and digital culture.
QatarCreates will be housed in the creative hub M7 in Msheireb Downtown Doha.
For the first time #QatarCreates will host two editions in a year – in March and October of 2022. The week-long #QatarCreates celebration in March will coincide with the 20th edition of Doha Forum and the Africa Business Forum, where thought leaders and policymakers will engage in constructive debate and explore solutions to some of the world’s most pressing matters.
The Chairperson of Qatar Museums, H E Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, said: “We are excited for #QatarCreates to be headquartered at M7, where creativity, design, and collaboration are celebrated year-round by Qatar’s thriving artistic community. QatarCreates will features an exhibition by RoGUILTLESSPLASTIC,, and the Liwan Design Studios and Labs. It will also include tours, workshops, and discussions across Doha, and the public is invited to participate.
3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum
QatarCreates will include a wide-range of events, cultural offerings, and dialogues, including the official opening of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum at the Khalifa Stadium on March 31.
One of the world's largest and most technologically advanced museums dedicated to sports is on its way to becoming a part of the Olympic Museums Network. Designed by Spanish architect Joan Sibina, it demonstrates Qatar's commitment to building a healthier and more active population, which is a major objective of Qatar's National Vision 2030.
In addition to unique exhibits and a remarkable collection, the museum explores the stories of sports heroes from around the world, as well as the inspiring impact of sports on the development of sport in Qatar.
