The commemoration of Qatar National Day 2023 has been rescheduled.
HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, conveyed that a directive from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has been issued to postpone this year's National Day celebration for the Armed Forces. This decision is a symbolic gesture of solidarity with the people enduring hardships in Gaza, showcasing Qatar's support for those facing challenging circumstances.
Traditionally commemorated with a morning parade along Doha Corniche, Qatar National Day is observed on December 18. However, for the year 2023, the parade's scheduling will be adjusted in accordance with the directive issued by His Highness.
