GCC Cybersecurity Committee
The State of Qatar is participating in the 8th meeting of the Standing Committee for Cybersecurity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, which started on Monday at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Director of the Economic and Cyber Crimes Combating Department at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Ali Hassan Al Kubaisi, represents the Ministry of Interior at the two-day meeting.
The meeting will discuss several issues on guiding controls for cybersecurity, awareness plans in coordination with the Security Media Committee in the GCC states, Gulf mechanisms to face challenges and raise readiness to combat cybercrime, in addition to presenting best practices in the countries of the region, and a range of other topics regarding the cybersecurity fields.
