Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation revealed details of the The 2025 Qatar International Optimist Regatta, set to take place from February 3 to 8 at Rixos Gulf Hotel Beach.

At a press conference, President of Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Rashid Majed Al Sulaiti, shared that the championship will feature 52 competitors from 12 countries. He expressed confidence in organizing an exceptional event, even though this will be the first championship the federation has hosted in several years.

Al Sulaiti added that the federation aims to deliver a successful and well-rounded event, both in terms of organization and competition, with a focus on showcasing Qatar’s athletes and helping them achieve strong results. He stressed that Qatar's athletes are no strangers to success.

The committee also prioritized the safety and security of all participants, especially during the races at sea. Additionally, the international committee will measure boats and sails, and daily meetings with coaches will be held to ensure clear communication of rules and regulations.
