Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan
The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attempted assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was wounded in a shooting at his convoy east of the country.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the position of the State of Qatar rejecting the use of violence in the context of political differences, and warned against being dragged into a cycle of violence as a result, as well as its keenness to establish security and stability in Pakistan.
The Ministry expressed Qatar's wishes to the former Pakistani Prime Minister for a speedy recovery.
