The State of Qatar strongly condemned the statements of the Minister of Heritage in the Israeli government regarding the threat to strike the besieged Gaza Strip with a nuclear bomb, considering them a serious incitement to a war crime and a disregard for humanitarian and moral values and international laws.
In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out the leniency of the Israeli government in dealing with the minister's threats by merely suspending him, affirming that these hateful and provocative statements represent an extension of the escalatory policy adopted by the Israeli government in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for the international community to take action to protect the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's unwavering stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
