Qatar Temporarily Halts Electric Scooter Rental Services

Electric Scooter Rentals and Maritime Activities Temporarily Suspended in Key Areas of Qatar

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has directed all electric scooter rental companies to temporarily halt operations in Katara, Lusail, West Bay, and the Corniche. The suspension will be in effect for two days—Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15, 2025—due to security and organizational requirements.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering fully to the circular and urged all operators to comply.

Additionally, the Ministry of Transport has announced the temporary suspension of all maritime activities along the same route. This includes leisure, tourism, and fishing activities, and will remain in effect until 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, as per a directive issued on May 13.
