Qatar Tourism Launches Third Edition of Prestigious Tourism Awards 2025

Qatar Tourism has officially launched the third edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards 2025, as announced during a press conference held at Palace Vendôme, the 2024 winner of the Premier Shopping Mall Experience award. The application portal is now open, with submissions accepted until August 7, 2025. Organised in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), the Awards aim to recognise outstanding individuals and businesses within Qatar’s tourism and hospitality sectors for their commitment to service excellence. Now in its third year, the initiative continues to serve as a legacy platform that celebrates exceptional performance and encourages healthy competition across the industry. This year introduces two new award sub-categories: Hotelier of the Year, which honours general managers demonstrating leadership and innovation in hotel operations, and Leading Chief Concierge, which recognises concierges at five-star properties who provide remarkable guest service and possess deep local knowledge. The initial evaluation will be jointly conducted by UN Tourism and Qatar Tourism, with final assessments carried out by a panel of esteemed local and international experts to be revealed in June, ensuring full transparency. At the press conference, Mr. Omar Al Jaber, Chief of the Tourism Development Sector at Qatar Tourism, emphasised the importance of recognising excellence and highlighted the strengthened partnership with UN Tourism, which reinforces the credibility and integrity of the Awards. Mr. Jaime Mayaki, Director of International Development and Cooperation at UN Tourism, echoed this sentiment, stressing the global impact of the initiative and the value of storytelling in shaping Qatar’s tourism narrative. In addition to the awards, Qatar Tourism has launched the Qatar Tourism Awards Alumni Network to foster continued engagement with previous winners. Winners of the 2025 edition will be announced at a formal ceremony in November and will benefit from promotional visibility through Qatar Tourism and Visit Qatar platforms, as well as priority access to sponsorship opportunities. Furthermore, participants in the Gastronomic Experiences category must be registered under the Taste of Qatar initiative, reaffirming Qatar Tourism’s focus on enhancing service quality throughout the sector.
