According to a report by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), there was a significant increase in aircraft movements and passengers during February compared to the previous year.
Passenger numbers rose by approximately 35%, totaling more than 4 million passengers.
Aircraft movements also saw a notable uptick, reaching 22,736 compared to 17,479 in February 2023. Moreover, air cargo and mail experienced a 15.4% increase, transporting 198,639 tonnes in February 2024 compared to 172,085 tonnes the previous year.
Specifically at Hamad International Airport, passenger traffic surged by over 27% in January, with 4.5 million passengers recorded, compared to 3.5 million in the same period last year.
